Spot-winged grosbeak / Fläckvingad stenknäck

This is a male Spot-winged grosbeak, a large finch (23 cm) with a huge beak and a short tail. Apart from the color of the plumage (which is very different!), it reminds a lot of the European hawfinch (Coccothraustes coccothraustes). Again, the photo is taken over a precipice where flying creatures thrive but where people with vertigo shoulkd not bother... Bhutan is dramatic!

Detta är en hanne av fläckvingad stenknäck, en stor fink (23 cm) med en enorm näbb och en kort stjärt. Förutom kulören på fjäderdräkten (som skiljer sig enormt), påminner den en hel del om vår egen stenknäck (Coccothraustes coccothraustes). Återigen är fotot taget ut över ett stup där flygande varelser trivs men där människor med svindel icke göre sig besvär... Bhutan är dramatiskt!
