A Black-headed ibis together with its nest neighbor, a Painted stork (Mycteria leucocephala). Both species often nest in the same tree or grove of trees in the Keoladeo Park, where both species are unusually common and visible. The Black-headed ibis subsists on most things it finds in the water. Compared to many specialized birds, this is a generalist in terms of food selection.
En orientibis tillsammans med sin häckgranne, en indisk ibisstork (Mycteria leucocephala). De båda arterna häckar ofta i samma träd eller samma träddunge i Keoladeo-parken, där båda arterna för övrigt är ovanligt vanliga och synliga. Orientibisen lever av det mesta den hittar i vattnet. Jämfört med många specialiserade fåglar är den en generalist vad gäller födovalet.
