This laughingthrush appeared on a wall when Bablu and I took a walk along the river. It wasn't particularly shy, but it came out of the vegetation on one side, where it had previously been hiding. The brown cheek patch and stripes are typical of the species. The name Streaked laughingthrush refers to the stripes on the upper part of the body. The Swedish name suggests that it is mainly found in the Himalayan region.
