These two Brahminy starlings appeared next to a rest area in the national park. The one closest to me bends its head so that the characteristic "hairstyle" becomes extra evident. The Brahminy starling has a black cap with long feathers sticking out of the neck, like the coiffure of an icehockey player... The species is relatively fearless and feeds on both insects and berries, even some that are classified as poisonous.
De här två pagodstararna dök upp invid en rastplats i nationalparken. Den närmaste böjer på huvudet så att det karaktäristiska "frisyren" blir extra tydlig. Pagodstaren har nämligen en svart hätta med långa fjädrar som sticker ut i nacken som en begynnande hockeyfrilla... Arten är relativt orädd och lever både på insekter och bär, till och med av en del som klassificeras som giftiga.
