Psittacula krameri
Rose-ringed parakeet / Halsbandsparakit

The Rose-ringed parakeet is a well-known parrot, traditionally associated with the Indian subcontinent. Less well known is that it also occurs in a narrow belt across Africa, from Mauritania to Djibouti. But this parakeet has also established itself in a number of other places in the world - through escaped caged birds - for example in the Middle East and Europe. This is a male from a flock that has colonized the visitor center in the Hula Nature Reserve.
