Three juvenile godwits moved methodically in the water, searching for something to eat. As we did not see the whole legs, it was difficult to determine the species. Only after consultation could we classify them as Bar-tailed godwits. (The close relative Black-tailed godwit (Limosa limosa) has longer legs than Bar-tailed godwit).
Tre juvenila spovar rörde sig metodiskt i vattnet. Eftersom vi inte såg benen var de svårbestämda. Först efter konsultation kunde vi bestämma dem till myrspovar. (Myrspov (Limosa limosa) har kortare ben än den nära släktingen rödspov).
