I have been to East Africa a number of times, and I have seen Village indigobirds every time, but I have never gotten a decent picture of the male. So this time it was high on my wish list. During the time in the Serengeti and at Lake Victoria, nothing happened. But on the last birding day in Tanzania, on the way to Kerege Swamp, suddenly it was there, the male of the Village indigobird!
Jag har varit i Östafrika ett antal gånger, och jag har sett byänkor varje gång, men aldrig fått en bra bild på hanen. Så denna gång stod detta högt upp på min önskelista. Under tiden i Serengeti och vid Lake Victoria så blev det inget av. Men sista skådardagen, på väg till Kerege Swamp, så satt den där, hannen till byänkan!
