The Northern white-crowned shrike (also called the 'Northern white-rumped shrike') is found in northern East Africa, as far north as the Horn of Africa. (The southern variant occurs in a belt across the northernmost part of southern Africa). It usually appears in flocks and several individuals probably unite in breeding the eggs and raising the nestlings. The nest is built by twigs and put together by cobweb!
Den (nordliga) vitgumpade törnskatan återfinns i norra Östafrika, upp mot Afrikas horn. (Den sydliga varianten förekommer i ett bälte tvärs över den nordligaste delen av södra Afrika). Den uppträder oftast i flock och förmodligen hjälps flera individer åt att ruva och föda upp ungarna. Boet byggs av kvistar och binds ihop av spindelväv!
