Male Brambling at a feeding site. This is another typical northern bird in Sweden. It breeds almost only north of the Dalälven river and is seen in southern Sweden only during migration times. However, it is very similar to its close relative, the Common chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs), and during migration, when you do not see the typical white rump of the Brambling, observers therefore clump together the two species under the name "bo-bergfink" ('Chaffinch/Brambling').
