One of the elegant Green wood-hoopoes with a tiny helix in its bill. This species is recognized by its long, white spotted tail, the green metallic color of the body, and the long, red, curved bill. It is known for its collective reproduction. The whole flock helps out in collectively feeding and raising the nestlings of the "alpha male" and the "alpha female".
En av de eleganta gröna skratthärfåglarna med en liten snäcka i näbben. Den känns igen på den långa, vitprickiga stjärten, den gröna metalliska färgen på kroppen och den långa, böjda, röda näbben. Den är känd för att hela flocken hjälps åt med att kollektivt föda upp "alfahannens" och "alfahonans" ungar.
