Last year we had a flock of bee-eaters nesting in Öland (almost) for the first time in living memory. But the restrictions were naturally hard when it came to access. In Swedish ornithological circles this was a sensation and this resulted in a great many curious visitors. Because of the mandatory distance, it was almost impossible to get a reasonable picture of any of them. But now, in Extremadura, I was well compensated for this. No less than two pairs are crowding in this picture.
