Despite its (at least) six stiking colors, it is the black "eyebrow" that gives the bird its trivial name. This is one of several barbets in the area and this one lives in the mountain forests of the Malacca Peninsula and Sumatra. It is considered difficult to see and is more often heard than seen, but sometimes you, like us, can be lucky enough to see it in a tree with fruit.
Trots sina (minst) sex starka färger är det det svarta "ögonbrynet" som gett fågeln dess trivialnamn. Detta är en av flera barbetter i området och den här lever i bergsskogar på Malackahalvön och Sumatra. Den anses vara svårsedd och oftare hörd än sedd, men ibland kan man, som vi, ha tur att se den i ett träd med frukt.
