This is the first time I've photographed a Grasshopper buzzard. As the name suggests, it is good at catching grasshoppers, especially when they are frightened by grass fires. However, its diet also consists of reptiles and other small vertebrates such as frogs and rodents.

Det är första gången jag fotograferar en gräshoppsvråk. Som namnet antyder är den bra på att fånga gräshoppor, inte minst när dessa skräms upp i samband med gräsbränder. Men födan består också av reptiler och andra små ryggradsdjur som grodor och gnagare.
