There are (at least at the moment) 27 species of bowerbirds. All are found in Australia, New Guinea and surrounding islands. This is a Fawn-breasted bowerbird, belonging to the genus Chlamydera which includes five species. These are not as colorful as some other bowerbirds, but they build typical 'bowers'. This species builds an "avenue type" foliage hall where the aisle is straight and open - and often decorated with green berries.
