Already on the same day we saw the next yuhina - a Whiskered yuhina! It got its name from the black line that goes over the beak and down the sides like "sideburns". This yuhina also has white eye rings, which explains why they are part of the White-eye bird family. It occurs in different types of forests at an altitude between 1500 and 3000 meters. This yuhina forages much like a tit, relatively close to the ground for insects, larvae and snails, but also berries, seeds and nectar.
