We saw this Oriental turtle-dove on our first day of the trip to Bhutan. I traveled there with BirdSafariSweden, which I previously went with to, among other plces, Northern Norway. The pigeon is deceptively similar to "our" European turtle-dove (Streptopelia turtur) but it is larger and more brownish on the wings.
Den här större turturduvan såg vi på vår första dag på Bhutan-resan. Jag reste dit med BirdSafariSweden som jag tidigare åkt med till bl.a. Nordnorge. Duvan förvillande lik "vår" europeiska turturduva (Streptopelia turtur) men är större och mera brunaktig på vingarna.
