As we took a break, two vultures suddenly circled above us. It turned out to be Himalayan vultures. They are big vultures - 290 cm wingspan! They only occur at high altitudes, from 1200 m above sea level up to 5500 m! Unfortunately, the species is considered "near threatened".
När vi tog rast cirklade plötsligt två gamar över oss. Det visade sig vara snögamar. Det är stora gamar - 290 cm vingbredd! De förekommer endast på höga höjder, från 1200 m ö h upp till 5500 m! Dessvärre är arten betraktad som "nära hotad".
