I went to northern India with BirdSafariSweden. As a guide I got Ikrar Bablu - an optimal bird guide: knowledgeable, caring and nice! One of the first birds I photographed in India was this Himalayan bulbul. The picture shows the three special characteristics: the forward-bent tuft, the white cheek patch and the yellow under tail coverts. The name also indicates the distribution: the Himalayas and adjacent areas. It has a very varied diet: insects, arthropods, fruits, berries, seeds and nectar.
