The Coal tit is Sweden's smallest tit. Some adults weigh only eight grams! It is mainly recognizable by its white neck spot (which can be discerned in the picture), which no other tit has. The species has a large distribution area and is not uncommon in Sweden. But it occurs mostly in deep forests and most often moves high up in the coniferous forest and is therefore seen less often.
Svartmesen är Sveriges minsta mes. En del fullvuxna individer väger bara åtta gram! Den känns främst igen på sin vita nackfläck (som skymtar på bilden) vilket ingen annan mes har. Arten har ett stort utbredningsområde och är inte särskilt ovanlig i Sverige. Men den förekommer mest i djupa skogar och rör sig allt som oftast högt upp i barrskogen och ses därför mera sällan.
