This yellow-rumped warbler was perched in a small tree along a hiking trail on one of our excursions in the arid mountain areas around San Diego. There was a special light at the time and the leaves seemed to harmonize well with the yellow-rumped warbler's yellow rump and the yellow throat (which characterizes the subspecies 'Audubon's warbler'). Both characteristics are visible in the picture.
Den här gulgumpade skogssångaren satt i ett litet träd längs en vandringsled på en av våra exkursioner i de torra bergsområdena runt San Diego. Det var ett speciellt ljus just då och löven tycktes harmoniera väl med den gulgumpade skogssångarens gula övergump och den gula haklappen (som karaktäriserar underarten 'audubonskogssångare'). Båda kännetecknen syns på bilden.
