It was ten degrees cold and the Fyrisån river had been covered by ice in most places. But in the rapids at Ulva mill it was still open and there White-throated dippers (Cinclus cinclus) foraged in the cold water. I found it to be a huge contrast between the ice formations and the fearless White-throated dippers who threw themselves into the water for their recurrent dives.
Det var tio grader kallt och Fyrisån hade täckts av is på de flesta ställen. Men i forsen vid Ulva kvarn var det fortfarande öppet och där fångade strömstararna (Cinclus cinclus) sina byten. Det blev en väldig kontrast mellan isformationerna och den orädde strömstaren som kastade sig i vattnet för sina dykturer.
