This is one of the rarest francolines in East Africa. It is endemic to northwestern Tanzania, especially the Serengeti. Therefore, it was a special experience to encounter it a couple of times. On this opportunity, this individual walked slowly along the road. We stopped and I was able to get a portrait of this unique bird with my big lens.
Det här är en av de mest sällsynta frankolinerna i Östafrika. Den är endemisk för nordvästra Tanzania, främst då Serengeti. Därför var det extra roligt att få möta den här individen ett par gånger. Vid det här tillfället gick den lugnt på vägen. Vi stannade och jag kunde få en porträttbild av denna unika fågel.
