A Golden-tailed sapphire that visits the feeder at the Amazonia Lodge. The image shows the relative diminutive size of the bird (9.5 cms) - compare it to the insect on the other side. This species is locally fairly common, and it is obvious, from this angle, how it got its name, even though the Swedish 'bronze-tailed' would be more appropriate.
En bronsstjärtad smaragd som besöker behållaren med sockerlösning på Amazonia Lodge. Bilden visar hur relativt liten den är (9,5 cm) jämfört med insekten på andra sidan. Denna art är relativt vanlig, åtminstone lokalt - och att den fått sitt namn är ganska förståeligt, sedd från denna vinkel.
