There are few birds that are so emblematic for this region like the Pied-billed grebe - and that I had never seen... But this was the opportunity. At the Pantanos de Villa, this bird was not uncommon and I could get several pictures from several angles at a fairly close range. Naturally, I was especially happy with this series when the background colored the water in such a nuanced way.
Det är nog få fåglar som varit så emblematiska för denna region som den tjocknäbbade doppingen - och som jag aldrig sett... Men nu var det dags. I Pantanos de Villa var den faktiskt allmän och jag kunde, efter att ha dolt mig i vassen vid sjökanten få en serie bilder på relativt nära håll. Jag var givetvis extra glad att omgivningen speglade sig så nyanserat i det nästan spegelblanka vattnet!
