An unexpected encounter - and surprising to me! A Northern grey-headed sparrow sits calmly next to a species of lizard known as the Ugandan blue-headed tree agama (Acanthocercus ugandaensis). Males of the species are particularly known for their bright blue heads, a color that becomes more intense during the mating season to attract females. The odd pair sat together for a while - apparently not taking notice of each other.
Ett oväntat möte - och överraskande för mig! En bysparv sätter sig lugnt bredvid en ödleart känd som ugandisk blåhövdad trädagam (Acanthocercus ugandaensis). Hanar av arten är särskilt kända för sina klarblå huvuden, en färg som blir mer intensiv under parningssäsongen för att locka honor. Det udda paret satt en stund tillsammans - uppenbarligen utan att ta notis om varann.
