Chubb's cisticolas are most often seen in pairs or groups. The bird is known to almost never sing solo, but in duets or choruses. When a pair sings a duet, the males trill while the females whistle. The females also produce longer and lower notes. The species is insectivorous.
Lobeliacistikolor uppträder oftast i par eller grupp. Fågeln är känd för att nästan aldrig sjunga solo utan i duett eller i kör. När ett par sjunger duett drillar hanarna medan honorna visslar. Honorna producerar också längre och lägre toner. Arten är insektsätare.
