This is a female of the Western black-headed batis, a species in the Platysteiridae family (wattle-eyes & allies). The female is distinguished from the male by her chestnut breast band in the otherwise black and white plumage. The bird is often seen in pairs - and in this case - the male was perched in the same cactus tree.

Detta är en hona av svartkronad batis, en art som förs till familjen 'flikögon'. Honan särskiljs från hanen genom sitt kastanjebruna bröstband i den annars så svart-vita fjäderdräkten. Fågeln ses ofta i par - så och i detta fall - hannen satt i samma kaktusträd.
