228 A Long-crested eagle in a characteristic position on a pole. It is a rather small eagle (around 55 cm) with a typical crest and white "pants" (which can only be glimpsed in the picture). From its elevated position it searches for small rodents which are its staple food.
En tofsörn i karaktäristisk position på en påle. Det är en ganska liten örn (runt 55 cm) med en typisk tofs och vita "byxor" (som dock bara kan anas på bilden). Från sin upphöjda position letar den smågnagare som är stapelfödan.
