Northern red bishop / Svartpannad eldvävare

I had previously photographed a female Northern red bishop, but never one of these magnificent males. In Gambia I got my fill. We saw several and got reasonably close. Here a male comfortably eating one of his favorite seeds.

Tidigare hade jag fotograferat hona av Svartpannad eldvävare, men aldrig någon av dessa praktfulla hannar. I Gambia fick jag mitt lystmäte. Vi såg flera och kom rimligt nära. Här en hane som bekvämt äter av ett av sina favoritfrön.
