The Swamp flycatcher is scattered in patches in a belt along the equator, across Africa. It is locally very common and relatively visible. It usually has a favorite spot where it sits and watches and to which it returns when it has caught an insect. This individual was sitting on the bank of the Gambia River.
Sumpflugsnapparen är fläckvis spridd i ett bälte längs ekvatorn, tvärs över Afrika. Den är lokalt mycket vanlig och relativt synlig. Den har oftast ett favoritställe där den sitter och spanar och dit den återvänder när den fångat en insekt. Den här individen satt vid Gambiaflodens strand.
