As so often, this pair of Blond-crested woodpeckers were foraging together. Anyone who has read the description of the female in the previous caption will immediately understand that this is the male with its bright red moustache patch and slightly lighter head and nape. The breast is also completely black.
Som så ofta, sökte detta par av blondspettar föda tillsammans. Den som läst beskrivningen av honan i föregående bildtext förstår direkt att detta är hanen med sin knallröda mustaschfläck och något ljusare huvud och nacktofts. Bröstet är dessutom helsvart.
