Up on the hills of the Atewa Range we took a break and ate from our lunch bag. Opposite us then appeared a female of the African emerald cuckoo. She had caught an insect and ate carelessly of her catch while we ate of our food... We had seen the male only a day earlier in the Bobiri forest.
Uppe på bergsmassivet Atewa Range tog vi rast och åt av vår matsäck. Mittemot oss uppenbarade sig då en hona av den afrikanska smaragdgöken. Hon hade fått tag på en insekt och åt obekymrat av sin fångst samtidigt som vi intog vår medhavda mat... Hannen hade vi ju sett bara en dag tidigare i Bobiri forest.
